Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense high dollar/specialty medications (e.g. Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis). Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Specialty Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Additionally, Specialty Pharmacy Technician requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician works under moderate supervision. Job description
We are looking for a full-time dependable Pharmacy Technician Trainee who will process and fill prescriptions. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly.
You will be required to complete a Pharmacy Technician training program using online modules as well acquiring the required clinical internship hours for the Pharmacy Technician class (130 hours). Clinical internship hours will be completed at our Pharmacy.
