Specialty Pharmacy is seeking an experienced, energetic Registered Pharmacy Technician to work in our fast-paced compounding pharmacy.

Must be an organized individual, with strong time-management and data entry skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects according to importance. Must work well with other technicians to reach all company goals in a timely manner. Technician is responsible for working collaboratively with other technicians under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. NO nights, NO weekends!!

Responsibilities of the Job

• Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete
• Accurately filling and labeling prescriptions
• Greet customers in person or by phone, answer questions and requests, and refer calls/inquiries to the pharmacist when necessary
• Retrieve customer prescriptions for pickup and accurately operate the cashier terminal and credit card machine when checking out customers; collect proper payment for merchandise
• Cleaning glassware and pharmacy implements, maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, receiving in merchandise, stocking shelves, cleaning counters and shelves, checking and removing outdated drugs, removing trash and recyclables
• Interacts with all patients, external pharmacies, medical providers, other staff members, etc. in a professional, friendly and courteous manner to optimize customer service in the pharmacy
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance of federal HIPPA regulations

Required Work Experience, Skills or Education

• Minimum three (3) years of pharmacy technician experience in retail pharmacy
• High school diploma and/or general educational development (GED) certificate with pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail is required
• Good communication skills are essential including good customer relation skills
• Interested candidates must be enthusiastic, professional, and self-directed
• Able to stand for up eight hours and lift up to 40 pounds
• Pharmacy Technician Registration for the State of Florida is required
• Compounding experience a plus, but not required
• Must have a clean background check and drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
