Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense high dollar/specialty medications (e.g. Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis). Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Specialty Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Additionally, Specialty Pharmacy Technician requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician works under moderate supervision. We are seeking a talented PRN Pharmacy Tech to join our team at St Matthews Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for working under the direction of a pharmacist. This role is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in data entry, packing and shipping of RX orders, coordinating care, communication, and processes between various stakeholders such as pharmacies, patients, prescribers, payors and other third parties. Candidates should be efficient, organized, have impeccable attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
