The Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Pharmacy Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating specialty pharmacy projects related to performance guarantee data reporting, accreditation standard requirements (URAC and ACHC), risk tracking for any variances with data collection and reporting, issues with data collection and entry, and changes to assigned departments that need to be made assuring complete and accurate data collection. This role will collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) in operations, clinical services, IT, Business Informatics, and finance departments to track project progress and drive completion.

Responsibilities:
- Manage data reporting through use of and documentation on Excel spreadsheets and other data tools provided by the Managed Care Payer
- Provide training and support to branch staff to support accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting
- Collect and input data specific to performance guarantee measures and accreditation URAC/ACHC standards
- Understand performance guarantee definitions, how to apply these to data, and how to interpret standards; questioning data with unmet standards by reaching out to the appropriate department and pharmacy location for action plan prior to reporting deadline so they can meet the deadline for reporting to Managed Care group
- Manage assigned project(s), specifically the workflow, to accomplish daily/weekly/monthly objectives
- Develop a strong working relationship with SME’s and different departments that are key in completing project tasks
- Submit all required reports in a timely manner
- Promote and represent Amerita in a professional manner at all times
- Utilize various CPR functions as they relate to meeting specific assignment/project needs
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college or technical training preferred
- Successful completion of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician training program; IV certification preferred
- Specialty Pharmacy and data reporting experience desired
- Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required per individual State Board of Pharmacy for this role
- One to three (1-3) years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting
- General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques
- Effective mathematical and communication skills required
- Basic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently
