Specialty Pharmacy Technician jobs in Broomfield, CO

Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense high dollar/specialty medications (e.g. Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis). Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Specialty Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Additionally, Specialty Pharmacy Technician requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Specialty Pharmacy Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

    • Bubble Packing (Will train if not experienced)
    • Answering phones
    Position Requirements:
    • Colorado State Pharmacy Technician license required
    • Hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
    • Knowledge and experience of pharmacy practice
    • Team Player Mentality 
    Job Details:
    • Dates of Coverage needed: December 26th, 27th, 29th from 8AM-4PM
      • 2 weekends per month January – April from 10AM-2PM
      • 1 full week in February - Dates TBD

    • Order Entry System: Will train
      Site Automation: Omnicell; dispensing cabinet experience preferred
