• High School Diploma
• Secretarial and Bookkeeping Experience
• Accurately Type 55 WPM 
• Personal Computer Knowledge

REPORTS TO:       Director 

JOB GOAL: To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the Department so that the office's maximum positive impact on Pulaski County Special School District can be realized.  

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Type letters, memos, reports, agendas, miscellaneous forms and requisitions.  
2. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports.
3. Assist in research, typing, duplication and distribution of instructional materials. 
4. Maintain files concerning budget, expenditures/purchases, State Department reports, travel, etc. 
5. Answer phones, route messages and answer other department phones as necessary.
6. Open and distribute mail for director and prepare outgoing mail for distribution.  
7. Maintain itinerary for Director.
8. Work closely with personnel in all areas and departments to insure continuity of operations.
9. Process requisitions for supplies/materials for office operation.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 6 – Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($12.18/hr. - $23.60/hr. depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract:  244 contract days 

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Personnel Status: Classified 

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
