Under the Direction of the Recreation & Signature events leadership team, the Special Events Manager is responsible for creating memorable experiences for all Callaway guests and visitors.
Specific duties are discussed in interviews but will include the following:
Producing Callaway Garden's Signature Events from conception to completion.
Events include, but not limited to, Masters Waterski Tournament, Summer Family Adventure, 4th of July, Labor Day Balloon Festival, Pumpkin Festival and Fantasy in Lights.
A primary function of this, and every other job at Callaway Resort & Gardens, is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber service.
Qualifications:
Recreation Management degree, or similar, plus experience in a Resort or Attraction Setting, or
2 years of Recreation Management experience preferably in a Resort or Attraction setting in lieu of Recreation Management degree.
Must have a valid driver's license from appropriate state, in order to operate company vehicles.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
Familiarity with Micros, Tessitura, or other POS systems.
