Special Events Coordinator - Casino jobs in New York

The Role

We’re on the hunt for an Event Coordinator for an awesome seasonal role. This is a great opportunity to join a new company, interact with your community, help people make great memories, and make extra money with occasional work that’s both fun and engaging!

The perfect candidate keeps calm under pressure, is incredibly resourceful, and is a quick-thinking problem solver. Previous experience managing teams, events, or classrooms is ideal (talking to you former teachers and camp counselors!)

About you

• Experienced people / classroom manager
• Comfort directing others with kindness
• Keen eye for detail
• Creative problem solver
• Time conscious
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Comfort driving after hours -- all events end between 11pm & 12-midnight
• Great if you speak at least two languages (Spanish, Chinese, French, Arabic, etc..)

What to expect when agreeing to come on board:

• Working on weekends (in some cases Thursdays and Fridays)
• Working a full day - anywhere between 10 to 11 hours
• Walking & standing for long periods of time
• Lifting light objects no more than 20 lbs & no bigger than your personal body
• Be asked to run possible errands
• Work weddings and special events as needed - this is not a permanent position
• Willing to commute to and from events in any of the five boroughs the surrounding NYC metro area

Job Types: Contract, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Events management: 1 year (Required)

Language:

• Spanish, Chinese, or French at a conversational level (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's license & access to your own car (Preferred)
