The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Special Events Coordinator to join our Tourism Department!Special Events Coordinator hourly hiring range: $24.41 - $28.07Special Events Coordinator position range: $24.41 - $31.73$1,000 sign-on bonus available!We are looking for a Special Events Coordinator that will be responsible for helping to execute and deliver a varied roster of events to support the economic vitality that benefits Snowmass Village as a whole.Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:
- Work as a liaison between event producers and the municipal government
- Assist with event logistics including but not limited to: schedule and attend logistics meetings; coordinates with event vendors, sponsors, marketing team and operation team to ensure seamless event execution; coordinate and delivers small scale projects; report expenses and hours; communicate with stakeholders; attend site visits; coordinate event logistics; provide post event debrief and wrap up
- Assist marketing division with all event marketing details; event signage, banners, website and social media updates
- Send out request for proposals and collect price quotations from contractors and vendors
- Assists in establishing and adheres to standardized event procedures
- Assists to build and adheres to each event budget to avoid project overruns
- Track event key performance areas and identifies items to work on for future events

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills:- Event planning experience
- Excellent organizational, planning, written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management skills to handle multiple and changing priorities
- Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
