Spares Coordination Manager manages the delivery of spare parts and equipment, and scheduling of customer repairs. Negotiates delivery cost for the organization and the end cost to customer. Being a Spares Coordination Manager verifies terms and conditions of contracts are satisfactorily met. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Spares Coordination Manager acts as advisor to spares coordination team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Spares Coordination Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Spares Coordination Manager typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Responsibilities

    Summary:

     

    The Spare Coordinator is responsible for monitoring parts inventory integrity and accuracy as well as build, execute a cycle count program for parts and production items. Source and initiate purchase of spare parts needed for repairs and preventative maintenance. Prepare kits, schedule and follow up on completion of preventative maintenance.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and maintain parts inventory
    • Manage ordering parts according to company requisition process including securing quotes and negotiating price
    • Coordinate PM’s with the maintenance and production teams and follow up on execution
    • Kit parts for PM schedule
    • Support Maintenance in RMA creation and handoff for spares processing
    • Handle the RMA review process, purchase order issuance, and quoting process with suppliers
    • Work with Shipping and Receiving on outbound and inbound part orders
    • Build and maintain vendor relationships
    • Work safely
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Familiar with international shipping requirements
    • Ability to work with cross functional teams
    • Strong problem resolution skills
    • Good verbal and written communication
    • Interpersonal skills
    • Work in an efficient and timely manner with minimal supervision
    • Ability to lift the minimum of 35 pounds
    • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background investigation
    • Valid drivers’ license required
