Being a SPA ATTENDANT ensures that all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, SPA ATTENDANT typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The SPA ATTENDANT may require 0-1 year of general work experience. General Overview: Responsible for the entire operation of the Spa department, ensuring maximum guest service while maintaining minimum costs according to the standards set forth by The Society Hotel.
Reporting Relationship: Responsible to the guest. Reports directly to the General Manager.
Appearance Standard: Business casual - Black is always “in”.
Major Front Desk Manager Duties:
1. Establishes standards and work procedures for the spa staff in accordance with hotel policy and procedures.
2. Interviews, selects, hires, and terminates personnel as needed together with General Manager.
3. Directs and manages the Spa Attendants and delegates duties and responsibilities as needed.
4. Trains and evaluates all spa employees.
5. Prepares occupancy/visitor forecasts weekly and prior to the start of each month.
6. Plans work schedules. Assigns hours and areas of work to ensure adequate service at all times. Covers shifts as necessary due to illness or high occupancy.
7. Conducts spa staff meetings and attends staff meetings and Managers Meetings.
8. Responds to guest complaints and takes appropriate action to maintain goodwill between guest and the hotel.
9. Orders supplies and forms for the spa.
10. Prevents loss or damage to hotel supplies and property.
11. Inspects all equipment and furniture in their work area daily for any hazards to employees and/or guests; report all hazards immediately to Maintenance for repair.
Minor Spa Manager Duties:
1. Train employees on up-selling techniques.
2. Participate in the MOD Program.
3. Represent the management team in a positive manner and comply with requests of the General Manager.
4. Responds to guests and other departments.
5. Maintains the highest possible occupancy level in spa.
6. Coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction.
7. Assists with special projects.
