Experienced Sous Chef Needed ***6 week hiring bonus $250***

Jillbee Delivers is a corporate breakfast and lunch catering company that has been in business for over 15 years and services high-end corporate clients in Silicon Valley. We offer full service lunch and breakfast buffets, grab & go boxed lunches, snacks and breakfasts as well as a daily-changing menu. Located on Sunnyoaks Ave in Campbell, CA, we are interviewing for an experienced Sous Chef. Our ideal candidate is flexible, independent, motivated, and engaged, with the ability to multitask and flow with the changing nature of the business. High-volume catering or food service experience is ideal.

Hourly:  $30-$35/hr depending on experience 

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday Hours: 5:00am-1:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm 

Sous Chef Job Description:

As a Sous Chef at Jillbee Delivers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our food delivery service. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen staff to prepare high-quality dishes and maintain an efficient and organized kitchen environment. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will contribute to delivering exceptional experiences to our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist Chef in planning and coordinating the preparation of all menu items.

2. Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes are consistently excellent.

3. Supervise and train kitchen staff

4. Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, and portion control to maintain high standards.

5. Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.

6. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation standards.

7. Adhere to health and safety regulations and enforce proper kitchen procedures.

9. Manage and resolve any kitchen-related issues or conflicts in a professional manner.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.

2. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavors.

3. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.

4. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

6. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional food quality.

7. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking methods.

8. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

9. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
