JOB SUMMARY
Joins, fabricates, and repairs board material by applying appropriate soldering techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine the appropriate soldering process. Inspects completed boards to determine structural soundness. The incumbent must have a good understanding of position’s duties and good understanding of the technical aspects of the position. The incumbent can recommend process and/or equipment improvement.
BASIC SKILLS- Ability to solder both surface mount and through-hole with precision and accuracy and to required specifications
- Read and write at High School Level in the English language
- Good Judgment and problem-solving
- Even temperament in changing environment, results-driven personality
- Creativity and latitude is required for problem-solving
- Read and follow BOM and assembly instructions or procedure
- Ability to solder Caps and Resistors that meet IPC Class 1
- Ability to exhibit proper solder technique within 3 days
- Demonstrate component identification
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE- Basic knowledge of solder tools
- Capable of learning to read prints and drawings
- Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision
- Ability to read, understand and correctly follow prints, drawings, and technical instructions
- Experienced working in teams or natural work groups
