Solderer sets-up and solders-together components to assemble fabricated metal items. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Solderer is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 1st shift Solder $20/hr
The PCB Assembler will follow engineering drawings and work instructions to assemble printed circuit boards and hand solder components to meet quality standards and industry guidelines.
Assembles printed circuit boards according to engineering drawings, hand soldering through-hole and SMD components in accordance with J-STD-001.
Leaded and lead-free soldering on fine pitch components in various packages.
Performing PCB re-works in accordance with engineering documentation and IPC-7711/7721.
Applying RTV silicone per engineering drawings and manufacturing procedures, masking PCBs for conformal coating.
Recording build data including expiration dates and calibration dates, ensuring validity for each at the time of assembly.
Required Education/Experience/Certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience hand soldering through-hole and SMD fine pitch components
Experience reading engineering drawings.
Basic computer skills including MS Office.
Preferred Education/Experience/Certifications
IPC J-STD-001 & IPC-7711/7721 certification or training
