  • Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Solderer (NTC). The hours for this role are M-F, 7 am-3:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $21-$23/hour per hour.     What you’ll do:

    Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Solderer to join our team. This position is based at our Bethel, Connecticut facility.

    Position Overview:
    The Solderer (NTC) is responsible for soldering and reworking very small and intricate products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional hand dexterity along with a working knowledge in reading, interpreting, and utilizing technical procedures and blueprints. The individual must be comfortable working in a team environment. This first shift position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, is focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.

    In this function you will:
    • Solder electro-mechanical components under a microscope and/or a magnifying glass
    • Assemble, setup and maintain tooling
    • Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability
    • Perform visual inspection of parts
    • Maintain quality records
    • Interpret customer and supplier requirements

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience required
    • Minimum 1 year of soldering experience required
    • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
    • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • One year soldering experience using a microscope

    • High level of dexterity
    • Ability to follow written instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints
    • Ability to work using a microscope for long periods of time
    • Ability to successfully solder to the acceptability requirements of J-STD-001
