Being a Soil Conservationist applies a wide range concepts, practices, and procedures from two or more specialized fields of science, such as agronomy, soil science, forestry, or agriculture. May require a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences or a related field with at least 5 years of work experience. Additionally, Soil Conservationist may direct the work of a small group of employees. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. As a Soil Laundry Sorter & Mat Roller, you'll play a crucial role in the initial phase of our laundry process. You'll be responsible for sorting soiled garments and linens, ensuring they are properly categorized for processing. Additionally, you'll lift, roll, and carry mats to prepare them for our customers and assist in the preparation and transfer of counted soil items through our industrial washing and drying process. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and physical stamina will contribute to the smooth operation of our laundry facility.
What You'll Do:- Sort soiled garments and linens according to color, fabric type, and laundering requirements.
- Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage, and separate them for special treatment or repairs.
- Operate sorting equipment efficiently and safely.
- Lift, roll, and carry mats to prepare them for customer use.
- Prepare and transfer counted soil items through the industrial washing and drying process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sorting and mat rolling areas.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support the laundry process.
Requirements- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Highly reliable work performance record.
- Reliable transportation to report to work as scheduled.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for 10 hours per day, bending, twisting, squatting, repetitive hand motions such as grasping, and lifting a minimum of 15lbs.
- Perform all assigned duties in a safe fashion and in accordance with OSHA standards and directives.
- Report any unsafe conditions or practices to management promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
