Being a Soil Conservationist applies a wide range concepts, practices, and procedures from two or more specialized fields of science, such as agronomy, soil science, forestry, or agriculture. May require a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences or a related field with at least 5 years of work experience. Additionally, Soil Conservationist may direct the work of a small group of employees. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. LTL Consultants, Ltd. is currently seeking a Sewage Enforcement Officer/Soil Scientist to join our Company. LTL provides Sewage Enforcement Officer services to numerous municipalities in Berks County.
Essential Duties:
· Dig and perform on-lot percolation tests.
· Review sewage applications and issuance of permits.
· Conduct inspections for on-lot sewage systems.
· Review and approve planning modules.
· Conduct investigations of possible violations.
Qualifications:
● PA SEO Certification preferred. Opportunity to become certified with a 4-year college degree in a related curriculum.
● Knowledge of current sewage enforcement code regulations.
● Motivation and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
● Ability to perform tasks with minimal oversight.
● Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
● Ability to adjust to changing schedules.
● Capability of completing work on your own, as well as with a team.
