Software Quality Assurance Tester
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester. The successful candidate will assess software quality through manual and automated testing. QA Tester will be responsible for finding and reporting issues/bugs. They will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations. The QA Tester will contribute to the technical discussions of the team and work with developers to share perspective of testing from a tester/end user point of view.
As an IT Team Member, each person must have flexibility in the duties they perform. Tasks may include operational responsibilities not directly related to initiatives but will be within the professional's core skill set.
Work is onsite in OKC, OK
Principle Responsibilities:
· Review and analyze system specifications to determine the best way to perform testing
· Conduct text execution (manual and automated), bug/error reporting, analysis, and verification
· Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing reports
· Reporting and documenting technical issues/bugs to development team
· Help troubleshoot issues
· Conduct post-release / post-implementation testing
· Work with cross-functional team to prioritize work to support the business units’ current needs to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
· Support and document existing business application testing and issues as required
· Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
· Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate code problems
Requirements/Skills:
· Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills with the ability to communicate in small to mid-size group settings
· Keen eye for detail, analytical mind, and excellent problem-solving aptitude
· Ability to organize and present information in a clear and concise formats
· Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and tasks
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
· Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting platforms, data tools, and programming tools (MS SQL Server, MS SQL Server Management Studio, MS SQL Server Data Tools/MS Business Intelligence Data Studio, XML data models, JSON data models, TFS (Azure DevOps Server), and MS Visual Studio
· Experience with automated testing tools is preferred but not required
· Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus
