Software Quality Assurance Supervisor jobs in South Dakota

The Supervisor, Quality Assurance will require understanding of the technical product layers produced by Development teams and the requirements by business to validate release quality.  This position will require understanding of development aspects, software layers, SQL, JQL analytics, advanced networking knowledge, along with Jira & Confluence Knowledge.  This position will have direct reports responsible for validating the quality of software releases in which they will validate the quality utilizing documents provided by business development and product teams against the software developed by Engineering    This position has a monetary impact as Revenue goals are highly dependent on the software platform, user engagement and platform in a quality product release

• Direct responsibility for Quality Assurance Specialists From day-to-day service operations to process development.
• Report project status, escalate issues, and communicate effectively in written and oral form both inside and outside of Engineering
• Work cross functionally inside the Engineering group along with internal and external departments relating to software quality.
• Provide data reporting based on current projects and performance to KPI’s with Jira and Confluence
• Development of process and program changes in relation to current Engineering environment and automation surrounding testing on multiple platform layers.
• Independently research solutions, troubleshoot and resolve problems and provide actionable direction.
• Technical ability to read logs, assess code within GitHub or Repo’s used in development branches along with understanding of software layers and the interconnectivity of components and the resulting connections within the software testing to assure proper testing for their direct reports.
• Awareness and understanding of software architecture, interoperability and development standards and design.

• A minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED
• Years of related work experience: 2-3 years
• Ability to adapt quickly to new policies and procedures and multi-task with priorities while using discretion and sound judgment
• Team Player who is organized and detail oriented but resourceful at problem solving and creative solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communications and being able to adapt to different audiences
• Understanding of Software languages and analytics platforms, data ingestion and reporting tools.
• Comprehension of testing best practices and technical writing ability
• High Level understanding of step by step analysis of PRD’s to translate to test writing practices tools including Testrails, Jira, and Confluence
• Automation understanding with a focus on writing and organizing tests for both manual and automation processes.
• Jira / Confluence experience to produce reporting of releases and documentation surrounding testing.
