Software Quality Assurance Supervisor jobs in California
Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a software quality assurance team. Assigns testing tasks to team members. Being a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor trains team on tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects and comply with quality standards. Evaluates test results against expected results and recommends improvements to test plans and scripts as needed. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to a manager. The Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position.
The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites.
QAEs regularly work with Developers, Product Managers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment.
During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
QUALIFICATIONS
# BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 0-2 years of industry experience testing software, including website applications.
# Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
# Experience in running the manual regression test pass and able to update the tests for minor changes.
#Experience in bug filing and bug resolution. Running any existing automation tests is a plus.
# Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
