    The Impact you Will Have:

    Under the leadership of the Director of QA, you will play an important role in the creation and execution of methodologies and strategies that ensure outstanding levels of quality in the development of the Crucial Learning Platform. You will manage the Quality Assurance team while working closely with the Technical Product Owner and Engineering teams. You will ensure quality is considered and implemented throughout the project's life cycle and participate in important requirements, process, design, and architecture discussions contributing to important work planning and task definitions in your direct team and across the workstreams.

    What You'll Do:

    • Manage the Quality Assurance staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. You will ensure software defects are timely and effectively documented and communicated.
    • Manage the QA team in selecting and utilizing appropriate tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects and comply with quality standards.
    • Supervise and assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution in production systems while communicating effectively with stakeholders in a fully remote environment with a fully distributed team.
    • Strategize resourcing plans, including the management and leadership of contracting firms and/or staff augmentation, to accomplish product roadmap objectives.
    • Identify and implement improvements to processes, tools, practices and recommend alternative solutions as needed.
    • Supervise, collaborate, and produce frequent reports in the development and maintenance of automated and manual tests cases.
    • Rely on your deep experience to analyze and develop use case scenarios in both a coaching and a hands-on capacity to help uncover alternate execution paths resulting in broader and deeper test case coverage.
    • Influence the design, requirements, and QA measures required to promote application security and system stability.
    • Partner with the product team to develop effective and well-defined acceptance criteria, both specifically in and out of sprint planning, for feature development and ensure Sprint test results are evaluated against expected results and the detailed acceptance criteria.
    • Become a subject matter expert for the Crucial Learning Platform and related digital products and course platforms.

    What You'll Need:

    • 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in software quality assurance.
    • 2 years of supervisory experience leading QA teams (management experience a plus).
    • Experience with analysis of Software Requirement Specifications, Use Cases, and User Stories acceptance criteria.
    • Experience with User Interface testing, Regression, Performance, Load & Stress testing.
    • Experience with test scenario development and analysis, preparing and executing test plans, and manual test case design and execution.
    • Strong understanding of testing deliverables within the Agile Scrum framework and practices.
    • Proficient problem-solving and creative troubleshooting skills.
    • Preferred experience with testing tools like Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, WebdriverIO, Jasmine, Postman.
    • Understanding of Cucumber, JS Gherkin, or any BDD framework a plus.
    • Experience with coding web apps in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript ES6/Typescript is a plus.
    • Experience with managing contracted resources a plus
    • Familiar with AWS infrastructure and services, S3, CloudFront
    • Must be able to work independently, have a strong sense of personal accountability, and exercise good judgment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: must demonstrate a coachable attitude being willing to ask questions to ensure best approach to a task or project along with communicating timely and effectively.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
