Concept Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for the Emergency Operations Network (EON). This position is part of a team of Information Technology (IT) professionals supporting the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Command, Control, and Communications (C3) office. EON provides FAA leadership with situational awareness 24/7, 365 days a year and is used to track and display data regarding over 4,600 aviation safety related events each month. This is a local remote position requiring periodic travel to the FAA HQ located in WDC.
Job summary
The Quality Assurance Engineer / Software Tester will design, implement and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures against developed systems in an agile software development environment. Support a team of software developers to ensure customer requirements as documented in user stories and epics are met and are 508 compliant. Testing assignments include front-end and back-end solutions developed in C#, .NET, JavaScript, CSS, GIS (geographic information systems), and various application security and web development frameworks. Document and maintain software test cases and software defects in our DevOps system. Participate in Agile Stand Ups, technical exchange meetings, and release planning discussions.
