    The Service Area Director Quality, Safety and Risk, reporting to the Central Division Director as assigned, leads the activities in the assigned Service Area(s) for Providence Central Division supporting operational excellence, continuous quality improvement, defined strategies for safe and reliable patient care while mitigating the risk involved in the provision of that care and consistent with our mission and core values. Under the direction of the Division Director, the Service Area Director manages the portfolio of strategic key initiatives for quality, safety and risk and provides leadership to the team that maintains a foundation of support toward core leaders and caregivers across Central Division acute care services. The Service Area Director is a trusted colleague to peer leaders in The Providence Medical Group (PMG) and Home and Community Care (HCC), the Clinical Institutes, Ambulatory Services, and others. The Service Area Quality Director is critical to lead the team and support the activities within the Service Area in service to the organizational vision of health for a better world and the promise of "know me, care for me, and ease my way".

    Required qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare or related field

    • 5 years' Experience in a clinical setting, with 5 years in an acute care setting.

    • 3 years' Experience in progressive leadership and management roles

    • Demonstrated experience with managing professional staff who work independently on tasks and projects

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business, Business or Healthcare Administration, or enrolled in a Masters level program.

    • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) upon hire or

    • Certification in Healthcare Risk Management upon hire
