Position: Software Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Dayton, Ohio WPAFB
Description: The software tester will perform testing procedures on newly developed features, bug fixes, and regression tests to ensure software quality assurance. The software tester will also create new regression tests and update existing tests when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Learning how to use flight simulator software products.
- Managing multiple test requirements.
- Communicating with developers and other testers to understand how features work and relaying what issues have been found with the program.
- Memorizing existing features to ensure quality assurance is retained throughout the software upgrade process.
- Reviewing software requirements and creating test scenarios.
- Detecting and analyzing software defects and issues.
- Potentially designing and creating automated test systems using computer code such as scripting.
- Potentially modifying code to properly test a new feature’s capabilities.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field. Examples: Software Engineer, Computer Science, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, Quality Management
- Scripting/coding experience is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Entry level OK. Effective team player with the ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. Understanding general software development may be useful.
Security Clearance: Desired: Secret Clearance or higher. U.S. citizenship required.
