Job Title: Senior Director, Software Engineering - Card Core

We are looking for a Senior Director of Software Engineering to join our Card Technology division. In this role, you will work with senior executives to understand their vision and translate it into actionable strategies. Your main responsibility will be to guide software engineering teams in designing and delivering high-quality software for critical business features, using the latest technology standards.
What You Will Do:
- Drive technology strategy and adoption, focusing on simplicity and the use of digital technologies, cloud hosting, and open-source software.
- Provide technology thought leadership and help recruit and hire top engineering talent.
- Collaborate with product owners to articulate the benefits of proposed solutions and prioritize work.
- Lead a team in an Agile environment and ensure the successful integration of internally built and vendor applications.
- Be a "leader of leaders" and set and own goals, OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), and delivery plans.
- Partner with business leaders to shape and prioritize initiatives and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Dive deep into technology, represent the architecture, and identify issues to drive technical advancements.
What We are Looking For:
- Experience in building and leading a large team in the development and rapid delivery of platform capabilities.
- Knowledge of machine learning for solving problems such as entity resolution and client spend patterns.
- Experience in delivering software with many human touchpoints.
- Strong data skills for leading conversations on system records and timing of data.
- A history of embracing emerging technologies and open-source products.
- Strong leadership skills in recruitment, motivation, mentoring, and leading application engineering talent.
- Customer-first attitude and innovative thinking with a passion for problem-solving.
- Ability to provide a logical framework to support conclusions and ideas.
- Great attitude, team player, and adaptable to changing priorities and technologies.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively to internal leaders, partners, and customers.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies in leading a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 9 years of experience in software development.
- At least 7 years of people management experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- 2 years of experience with data streaming.
- 2 years of experience with event-driven architecture.
- 1 years of experience in building and deploying serverless applications.
