We're seeking a talented, knowledgeable, and respected individual from within our company to step into the role of Cloud Architect in the new Cloud Center of Excellence. This is an incredible opportunity to expand your knowledge while deepening relationships and fostering innovation. You'll serve as a bridge between our Research & Development teams and major cloud service providers like AWS, promoting sound cloud architecture across departments.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities:

·       Cloud Architecture Design: Architect and guide our cloud-based infrastructure, aligning it with business needs and objectives.

·       Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships between our R&D team and external cloud service providers, including AWS. Act as the primary contact and build mutually beneficial relationships to ensure our cloud architecture meets R&D needs and industry standards.

·       Guidance and Mentoring: Guide and mentor team members on best practices for cloud architecture design, deployment, and management.

·       Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to understand their cloud requirements, and deliver solutions that are efficient, secure, and scalable.

·       Customer Representation: Represent the needs of our customers in architectural decisions, ensuring our solutions remain customer-focused and drive business value.

·       Innovation and Improvement: Continually improve our cloud architecture and processes, promoting the adoption of the latest cloud technologies and solutions.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

·       Advanced knowledge of major cloud platforms, especially AWS and/or Azure, and strong understanding of cloud architecture principles.

·       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a cooperative attitude that promotes teamwork.

·       Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.

·       Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value to clients.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

·       Cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) would be a plus.

·       Experience in managing relationships with external service providers.

·       Familiarity with other cloud platforms like Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.

·       A strong understanding of R&D processes inside Axway.
