Software Architect is responsible for the structural design and development of new software systems or extensive software revisions for external customers. Analyzes software requirements and defines system components to ensure efficient and scalable software architecture. Being a Software Architect designs and implements software solutions to consider business and technical needs and ensures compatibility with existing systems. Creates and maintains architecture documentation such as design specifications and diagrams to guide future maintenance and development. Additionally, Software Architect works with non-technical stakeholders to analyze requirements and understand constraints, dependencies, and business needs. Has in-depth knowledge of software development processes and methodologies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Software Architect work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Software Architect typically requires 7+ years of related experience.   • The Role 

    As a Solution Architect (SA), you will have the opportunity to positively impact the productivity of end users via a focus on improving the end user’s experience when interacting with their workplace digital tools (i.e. their end user devices).  Since most enterprises rely heavily on the efficient functionality of their workplace digital systems, this will be a highly visible role with exposure to a variety of enterprise stakeholders. We're looking for an experienced SA with strong business and technical acumen who's excited to articulate our value proposition to potential customers.

    What You'll Do 

    The core functions of this role include:

    • Working closely with our Sales team to help qualify and identify customer pain points that our solution will be able to resolve
    • Identifying the technical requirements within an offering, matching them to Lakeside Software solutions, and accelerating the adoption cycle by positioning and demonstrating market differentiators
    • Designing and presenting to customers: product demonstrations, evaluation proof of values, documentation, and enablement to support their goals
    • Serving as a subject matter expert for our customers as you explain complicated, technical solutions and pitch them at the required level of your audience
    • Partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Support and other internal teams, as needed, to meet and exceed customer goals
    • Building effective relationships at all levels of the organization, maintaining a high level of customer service

    What You'll Bring to Lakeside

    • Strong storytelling and effective communication skills; adept at articulating the solution’s value and demonstrating Lakeside’s capabilities
    • Confidence in written/verbal communication, organization, presentation, public speaking, and project management skills
    • Demonstrated business acumen with experience delivering solutions to all size companies
    • Technical documentation and presentation experience
    • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze software and system

    The key requirements for this role include: 

    • 5 years of relevant professional experience; a background working in enterprise software
    • Experience gathering and understanding customer pain points and business requirements while recommending best practices
    • ITIL knowledge and experience
    • Professional certifications in technology like Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware such as MCP, MCSE, MCT, CCA, CCEA, VCP, VCAP, and VCI desirable 
    • Experience of transformational outsourcing and understanding of the principles and challenges involved
    • Broad understanding of ICT technologies covering many of the following: 
      • Desktop technologies and solutions
      • Windows Server Technologies
      • Virtualization Technologies and Techniques such as server-based computing and desktop virtualization
      • End user support tools/techniques
    • Understanding of relational databases is a plus; SQL query language and scripting, Microsoft SQL Server, and other related Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies (Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services)
    • Desirable experience; Scripting and PowerShell familiarity, PowerBI skills, Service Desk tools i.e ServiceNow, Cloud technologies, REST APIs
    • BA/BS Degree or equivalent
