    As the Social Media Manager for Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, you'll represent one of the most recognized institutions in the world. You'll also work alongside one of the most innovative marketing and communications teams in higher education. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders including students, faculty, alumni, and community partners, you'll support the reputation and recognition of a Top 25 business school.

    The Social Media Specialist will provide support to the integrated Marketing and Graduate Enrollment team's digital marketing efforts through social media content creation, curation, analytics, and performance reporting. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Admissions Operations and indirectly to the Associate Director of Content Marketing.
    This position will:
    • Maintain and embodies the mission, voice and tone, and visual brand standards of the Mendoza College of Business and the University of Notre Dame.
    • Manage the development and deployment of social media content that aligns with both team and departmental goals while possessing a deep-rooted knowledge and excitement around platforms, trends, systems, and best practices in the higher ed digital marketing space.




    The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for the following:

    Social Media Management
    • Demonstrate significant experience with content management and performance-to-impact analysis of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.
    • Possess working knowledge of Hootsuite or other social media management tools.
    • Experience employing UTM parameters, coding languages, and data visualization systems to track, interpret and analyze digital content effectiveness.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in using project management systems such as Wrike, Asana, or similar.
    • Execute social media marketing efforts to elevate Mendoza's brand messaging; invoke calls to action (CTAs) that increase awareness, interest, and enrollment in the College's graduate degree and Ph.D. offerings; and tailor content to meet the unique needs and use cases of each social platform and audience.
    • Adapt to trends, best practices, and developments in the higher ed social media marketing landscape to continuously improve upon Mendoza's social presence.
    • Establish and maintain a quality assurance process for social media content deployment.
    • Monitor and curate earned and user-generated content to build and maintain relationships with current and prospective students, College partners and stakeholders, and alumni.

    Content Creation & Curation
    • Develop on-brand, mission-driven content that celebrates and grows Mendoza's diverse community of inspired learners. Collaborate with Associate Director of Marketing to develop on-brand, high-impact social media campaigns, and content that meet the unique needs of prospective students and audiences per platform.
    • Capture photography, short-form video, and other "snackable" content that encapsulates the student experience at Mendoza. Interact with students, alumni, faculty, staff, and College partners to facilitate thoughtful and dynamic storytelling that both informs and inspires audiences to action.
    • Create graphics, edit photo and video content, and assist with recording and audio editing for the Grow the Good in Business podcast. Demonstrate experience with related software and tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or Audition.
    • Build and maintain internal plans for social conversation and digital community-building, including standard language that responds to FAQs, directs audiences to the best points of contact or information and fields social comments and mentions in productive and meaningful ways.

    Special & Collaborative Projects
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with content marketing colleagues, portfolio marketing managers (PMMs), and other graduate enrollment colleagues to develop and execute omnichannel marketing projects with the potential for high impact on the enrollment funnel.
    • Through the lens of social media, participate in cross-functional project sessions to collectively set project goals, establish meaningful plans for execution and measurement, and contribute to analysis of projects' impact toward meeting departmental goals.
    • Work closely with the Associate Director of Marketing to execute on special projects and social media campaigns that contribute to the strategic priorities and success of the content marketing team and the Marketing and Graduate Enrollment department.

    Analysis & Reporting
    • Benchmark social media performance and set measurable goals aligned to departmental objectives each fiscal year.
    • Analyze performance metrics across social properties to demonstrate the impact of social media content on the enrollment funnel.
    • Adopt and apply an Agile methodology that senses and responds to fluctuations in social content performance.
    • Collaborate with content marketing colleagues and Associate Director of Marketing to identify opportunities for greater return on social media efforts.
    • Showcase progress toward shared goals, and visualize performance-to-impact data for quarterly and annual reports to stakeholders.
