Social Media Communications Specialist jobs in Bridgeport, CT

Are you a strong communicator with an aptitude for marketing and social media? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge and showing off your skills? The CSB Media Arts Center is looking for experienced and knowledgeable part-time instructors to help us in expanding our curriculum to offer classes in the realm of digital marketing.

You will act as an instructor/mentor to small classes of 8-10 students through a sixteen-week morning or evening program designed to instruct our students in creating digital marketing campaigns, such as on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, and Twitter. Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Metrics & Reporting skills are essential!

Classes are taught at our training facility located in Stratford. This is a great opportunity for freelancers due to the part-time nature of the courses.

Classes are held between 9:30-1:00pm or 6:30-10:00pm, four times a week in the morning and twice a week in the evening.

Rate is $25-$30/hr based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead classes as an instructor
• Work with TA’s to assist students and provide a hands-on learning experience
• Have a lead role in developing our program to give our students the tools and skills they need to succeed in this growing environment.
• Arrive early and set up the class
• Provide occasional one-on-one help for students
• Take attendance and grade assignments
• Assist in job placements after graduation

Skills/Requirements:

• 1 year minimum commitment
• Lives in/close to the Stratford area
• 3 years of experience in digital marketing
• Proficiency with all of the following tools and topics
• Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, & YouTube
• SEO tools
• Analytics, Metrics & Reporting
• Fluency using Google Analytics, Google AdWords, e-mail marketing
• Knowledge of customer targeting and tracking

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 7 per week

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Social Media Management: 5 years (Required)
• Marketing: 1 year (Required)
• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
