Slot Shift Manager Assistant assists the manager with gaming activities in the slot department during an assigned shift. Approves jackpot and credit payouts and ensures that all appropriate forms are completed. Being a Slot Shift Manager Assistant confirms all slot equipment is functioning properly. Supervises all electronic gaming device personnel. Additionally, Slot Shift Manager Assistant ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. May require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Slot experience preferred. One year supervisor experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively coach and counsel employees.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess intermediate PC skills. Microsoft Office experience required.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Comission.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate will monitor staffing levels and make adjustments as needed; coach and counsel employees; enforce all rules, service standards, policies and Indiana Gaming Commission regulations.
