PURPOSE
The Director of Slot Operations is responsible for the oversight of all operations for the Slot department to ensure high standards of product quality and delivery. The Director of Slot Operations develops policies ensuring compliance with governmental and company requirements in accordance with internal controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue from the slot operations, including slot floor layout, game selection, and promotions. Analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals including setting performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating training and development programs to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Ensure strict compliance with all gaming regulations, including but not limited to slot machine operations, coin handling, and reporting requirements. Stay current on changes in gaming laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to remain in compliance.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, including forecasting, expense control, and revenue targets. Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve financial objectives.
- Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, including slot machine manufacturers, game suppliers, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure that vendors cost-effectively deliver high-quality products and services.
- Ensure that departments deliver exceptional customer service to guests. Implement and monitor service standards, handle guest escalations, and actively seek feedback to continuously improve the guest experience.
- Manage the inventory of slot machines and parts, including ensuring appropriate levels of spare parts, coordinating maintenance schedules, and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance strategies.
- Work closely with the security department to ensure the integrity and security of the slot machines, including fraud prevention, monitoring of suspicious activities, and responding to security incidents.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance metrics, departmental initiatives, and operational challenges. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates, recommendations, and strategic insights.
- Partner with the Marketing department to develop and manage loyalty programs, promotions, and events to drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, finance, security, and facilities, to ensure seamless operations, align on goals, and execute promotional and operational initiatives effectively.
- Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Train staff on these policies and procedures to ensure consistency in operations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in slot machine technology, player tracking systems, and other related areas. Identify opportunities to enhance the gaming experience through innovation and new technology implementations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the departments. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation among the team. Manage the Slot department to meet financial and operational goals and objectives.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications or related field, and seven (7) years of Slot Management experience; or, ten (10) years of experience working with, or in, sophisticated slot operations, including operational experience in strategic management of slot operations.
- Thorough understanding of budgeting principles and practices, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge and proven track record of successful leadership and management techniques.
- Proven track record of creating positive organizational and fiscal outcomes.
- Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven knowledge of “Basic Strategy” house rules, operational procedures
- Proven knowledge of surveillance techniques and specific gaming controls
- Knowledge of Title 31 compliance “Bank Secrecy Act”
- Ability to analyze and interpret an extensive variety of information, communicate findings, recommend problem-solving strategies, and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a team or as an individual contributor, and complete work within the designated timeframes.
- Ability to prioritize and monitor multiple tasks, and delegate assignments and responsibilities.

PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
- MBA degree
- Experience in Tribal gaming environment
- Two (2) years of Sportsbook experience
Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
