Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using electronic scheduling systems such as eClinicalWorks or Athena
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about services offered
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Skills:
- Proficient in office management software and electronic medical record systems (eClinicalWorks or Athena)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus
