Sleep Center Manager manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of one or more sleep centers. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the center(s). Being a Sleep Center Manager ensures patient care meets high-quality standards. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the sleep center(s). Additionally, Sleep Center Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires registration as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a director. The Sleep Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for the development, supervision and operation of the Sleep Center. Provides and ensures delivery of quality care, assessment and patient management in the Sleep Center. Assists the Clinical staff with acquisition, scoring and reporting as needed. Coordinates accreditation process and assists with the growth, development and marketing of the Sleep Center.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages Sleep Center operations.
2. Maintains clinical competency in all clinical services and ensures quality patient care and clinical outcomes.
3. Develops and maintains department policies, procedures and protocols.
4. Assists with growth, development and marketing of the Sleep Center Services.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School or GED.
Graduate of a sleep disorders training program required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) years of comprehensive experience in a sleep diagnostic laboratory and one (1) year working in a leadership capacity.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registry by the board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certification in BLS preferred.
Associates degree in a science related field preferred.
