The position is a critical support level position that requires the individual to be results oriented. This individual will support the company vision and the Marketing Manager’s corporate sales goals down to the day-to-day completion of marketing related tasks.

    Success in this position is achieved by integrating and supporting the Senior Project Manager in aligning with goals to achieve annual sales and revenue objectives. This position is typically fast paced and requires a high level of organizational and task driven abilities. Full-time position may require working evening and weekends depending on production schedules and due dates. Salary will be based on abilities.

    The position will focus on acquiring Special Inspections & Materials Testing Contracts in the Northern California Market. The Project Manager achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by implementing efforts focused on marketing and sales information, completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, and quality; resolving problems; implementing system improvements; embracing change.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Implements department objectives to achieve corporate revenue goals into corporate sales goals used in the following:

    o forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions,

    o anticipate expected sales volume to align with revenue trends and goals,

    o monitoring competition, lost opportunities, and

    o making recommendations to adjust to both market and competition impacts.

    Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by working with the Marketing Manager and Senior Management to:

    o call on project opportunities for proposal opportunities,

    o track proposal opportunities,

    o plan proposal timelines,

    o assimilate proposals,

    o issue within deadlines, and

    o track results of submitted proposals.

    Identifies marketing opportunities by

    o identifying projects,

    o defining markets,

    o tracking competitor's results, and

    o assisting in recommending strategies for overcoming competitor's strengths and weaknesses.

    Improves company marketability and coverage of opportunities by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving proposal packaging; coordinating new proposal development.

    Finds proposal opportunities including researching, utilizing lead generating services, contacting project decision makers and developing relationships with prospective clients.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    · Knowledge of basic marketing strategies.

    · Knowledge of construction marketplace is a plus.

    · Knowledge of online content marketing and social media development strategies would be a plus.

    · Ability to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

    · Able to meet marketing mission by supporting and completing proposal development activities.

    · Ability to support the company and team members including when tasks are not directly related to their assigned position.

    · Ability to accomplish goals regardless of deadlines and multitasking requirements.

    · EXCELLENT communication and team supporting skills.

    · Skilled at being a team player who is organized with solid management skills and is results driven.

    · Skilled at protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

    · Proficiency with Microsoft Products, Tracking Systems, CRM Solutions and Desktop Design programs.

    Education: Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field (2 years of experience equals 1 year of college)

    If individual does not have a college degree, they need to demonstrate strong marketing skills, the ability to work in a team environment and provide examples where they managed a variety of challenges through organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities.

    Experience: At least 2 years of marketing and/or sales experience with 1 year in Geotechnical/Materials Testing marketing (preferred). Comfortable talking with prospective clients or individuals who can direct you to project decision makers.

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract

    Pay: $45,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
