The Business Manager perform and oversee all QAP's financial transactions by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations for all Quest Autism Programs (Adult Day Program and Residential Services launching in 2023/4).
The Business Manager will also participate in fundraising and development efforts in ways to promote the financial success of the agency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fiscal Governance and Administration
· Manages the day-to-day financial operations and systems within QAP
· Oversees participant Medicaid billing.
· Works with Executive Director and QAP finance committee to establish and document formal accounting/budget practices, procedures and policies.
· Assists Executive Director in making financial decisions and recommendations.
· Manage Quest insurance coverage.
· Responsible to prepare schedules needed by tax accountant to complete Form 990
Budget & Reporting
· Prepares monthly/quarterly management reporting to QAP Board and finance committee.
· Assists Executive Director in preparing annual QAP budget.
· Works with Executive Director on financial planning and forecasting activities to facilitate decision-making on expansion goals/scaling of QAP programs.
· Responsible for document collection and preparation of reports required by funding organizations (QAF) and independent auditors.
· Maintain inventory of fixed assets.
Fundraising & Development
· Participate in fundraising and development planning and efforts as well as provide guidance on ways to improve the financial success of events and activities.
· Utilizes eTapestry software and ensures that all formatting and edits are in place so that reports can be run, linkages can be made, donor history is properly maintained and grow revenue.
· Works with FR/Development team to establish and document formal practices, procedures and policies for eTapestry use and management.
Other
· Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of quality initiatives that relate to the financial functions of the agency.
· Adhere to all QAP policies and procedures.
· Represent the values of QAP in interactions with the community.
· Participate in periodic board meetings, staff meetings and operational planning activities
· Perform other duties as assigned.
