Six Sigma Quality Program Director plans, designs, and directs Six Sigma projects. Develops strategy and policies required to accomplish measurable business process improvements. Being a Six Sigma Quality Program Director employs Six Sigma/Lean methodology and analytics to re-engineer organizational operations. Works with other certified professionals in the planning, designing, and implementation of key projects. Additionally, Six Sigma Quality Program Director coaches and trains teams in the utilization and deployment of Six Sigma tools and principles. Requires Six Sigma certification as Black Belt. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Six Sigma Quality Program Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Six Sigma Quality Program Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Summary

    The Program Director provides oversight of the Psychological and Medical Services Program to the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles (ABPP). Maintains good customer relations, develops new business opportunities, monitors adherence to budgets, and ensure contract compliance. Learns, uses and models principles of the “What Works” system through evidence-based practices in all interactions with clients and other staff members.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversees the implementation of all operational service provision and documentation functions for this contract.
    • Ensures that programs function in a manner that satisfies contractual obligations.
    • Develops timely accurate reports on the status of program operations for customers and executive management.
    • Monitors programmatic systems and procedures to achieve and maintain optimal effectiveness of operational programs.
    • Works to achieve continual improvement in customer service and outcomes.
    • Develops policies that enhance the professional development of the staff.
    • Develops and approves recommendations for annual operational budgets in conjunction with appropriate administrators.
    • Distributes resources appropriately to attain program goals.
    • Develops staffing plans that are compatible with program budgets and goals.
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Maintains on-gong communication with customers to develop and enhance positive relationships and promote Company products and services.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Health and Human Services and two (2) years as an administrator or supervisor preferably within a correctional or residential program and possess one of the following certifications:
      • Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (QSAP I) or
      • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
    • Five (5) years of professional experience in substance abuse and/or mental health treatment.
    • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
    • Preference given to experience within a correctional setting.
    • Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
    • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

    Facility Overview

    GEO Reentry Services offers correctional agencies in-custody treatment programs for individuals nearing the end of their jail or prison sentences. Starting treatment before they are released back into the community facilitates consistency in treatment and helps individuals be better prepared for their transition to the community. By assessing an individual’s risk and needs and initiating programming while in prison, the transition to a community-based program is seamless and behavior change is expedited.

    Pay USD $115,000.00/Yr.
