Being a Six Sigma Quality Program Director employs Six Sigma/Lean methodology and analytics to re-engineer organizational operations. Works with other certified professionals in the planning, designing, and implementation of key projects. Additionally, Six Sigma Quality Program Director coaches and trains teams in the utilization and deployment of Six Sigma tools and principles. Requires Six Sigma certification as Black Belt. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Six Sigma Quality Program Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma). Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements. Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality. May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes. Communicates team progress. Performs cost and benefit analyses.
Six Sigma is a development program in both technical and soft skills you will
benefit from in the years to come. This development is a significant investment for McKesson, our preference is to have you commit to the program for a minimum of 2 years to not only learn, but become a proficient and skillful leader.
The program is designed so that most of the training can be accomplished in the first 12- 18 months , skill refinement through project execution from day 1 through year 2, and the expectations of certification within 18- 36 months in the program.

Minimum Requirements
2 years experience , optimally in project management or process improvement.
Critical Skills
2 years working on process improvement projects in distribution centers
1 years using business analysis to improve processes
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Access)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the business
Ability to build trusted relationships, listen to problems, and help identify potential solutions.
Self-starter with initiative to identify opportunities, identify the people needed to build solutions, and independently drive the project to successful completion
Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
Financial modeling expertise is a plus
Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence
Experience with SQL
Experience with process mapping
Knowledge of project management or PMP certification
Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred
Lean certification preferred
Education
4-year degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$71,300 - $118,800
