We are currently seeking a Supervisor / Leader to direct the OVERNIGHT Production team, and who will effectively lead production teams to ensure safety, quality & productivity are maintained at the highest levels.
The role requires superior leadership, effective teamwork and communication skills and ideally, continuous improvement knowledge and abilities, and ultimately a committment to instilling and fostering an environment of safety.
Depending on the expeirence of the hired Leader / Supervisor, this role will have the opportunity to will employ lean manufacturing methodologies to identify opportunities to maximize production through-put and minimize cost, all while maintaining quality, and company production standards.
What You Will Be Doing
In this key role, you responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
Supervise production employees on the NIGHT SHIFT to ensure production guidelines are being met within established timing, quality, and cost standards.
Training, directing, coaching and leading the production team in the day-to-day operations to meet production.
Effectively communicating production goals and objectives, while maintaining a level of morale and culture conducive to business standards, as well as motivating the team to maximize plant efficiencies.
Ability to recognize, plan and schedule routine maintenance and set up of machines, equipment within assigned plant.
What You Need for this Position
Education and experience required / sought for this role, includes the following :
MUST BE ABLE TO / WILLING TO WORK & LEAD THE NIGHT SHIFT
The shift is an overnight, 12 hour shift from 5 : 30PM to 5 : 30AM.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, however priority consideration will be given to those with a BA or BS degree (preferred Qualifications)
5-years or more experience working in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 to 5 years supervisory experience in the same setting, preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment in roles of increasing responsibility.
Complete knowledge of manufacturing practices, processes, & procedures.
Ability to work in a cross functional team setting.
Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience is highly desired / sought.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE with building materials / construction materials / product manufacturing, or other similar products.
Experience leading team members, scheduling shift coverage, handling sensitive personnel issues and a keen ability to LEAD and MOTIVATE the staff.
Ability to capitalize on opportunities to drive improvements in safety, quality, cost and productivity.
Ability to earn and sustain the trust of subordinates, peers, plant management and executives.
Strong, fact based problem solving skills.

Must maintain a clean safety / accident record
Forklift certification preferred
A valid driver's license
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
