    Summary  

    Entertainment Manager works closely with and reports to the Director of Marketing and is directly responsible for booking high quality entertainment and special events for all SCR venues. The Entertainment Manager is responsible for all aspects of entertainment production, including artist contracts, production contracts, show advancement information, production load in, ensuring all entertainment acts or on time and performing as contracted, show load out and payment to artists. The Entertainment Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a detailed

    entertainment and special events calendar and ensuring all major shows (Event Center shows), are booked at a minimum of six months in advance and three months in advance for Cabaret shows. The Entertainment Manager is responsible for reporting on ticket sales for all shows currently on sale and for final attendance numbers at the close of every show.  The Entertainment Manager is responsible for submitting all Action Items and Notifications to Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission to insure compliance on all entertainment and special events. 

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Book and manage all entertainment and special events for all venues at Soboba Casino Resort.
    • Prepare and present artist offer sheets for management approval and signature. 
    • Review all artist contracts to present to management.
    • Prepare all Action Items and STGC notifications when needed.
    • Prepare all necessary artist advance information including but not limited to: transportation, hotel accommodations, meal accommodations and all other advance requirements.
    • Source and secure all show production requirements.
    • Ensure all shows are loaded in and out properly and are executed on time, in a professional manner.
    • Manage all special event details and responsibilities, including overseeing event staff, volunteers, performers and event vendors.
    • Source and cultivate healthy relationships with vendors.
    • Works closely SCR Marketing teams to ensure all entertainment advertising is created, artist approved, and published across all required media outlets to reach targeted customers and ensure a sold-out performance. 
    • Responsible for managing lounge entertainment, booking calendar, coordination of activities and ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
    • Scout and pursue entertainers and vendors for Soboba Casino Resort and all of it’s connected bodies, utilizing current technology and “in person” means.
    • Work closely with Marketing Admin and Finance to track and facilitate check processing and vendor registration of entertainers and vendors
    • Create and manage budgets under direction of Marketing leadership
    • Reserve and book event space for private and public special events
    • Write and submit STGC Notifications and Submissions to gaming compliance as necessary
    • Source, organize, and request event equipment, and décor needs through designated Marketing practices
    • Facilitate venue tours in conjunction with Sales Staff.
    • Manage event preparation and set-up including, but not limited to; floor plans, stage requirements, dressing rooms, rentals, and other accommodations
    • Work in conjunction with Graphics team to conceptualize and organize assets and creative content 
    • Prepare inter-company memos and communication materials detailing entertainment and special events
    • Work in conjunction with all applicable departments, including but not limited to Facilities, IT/Audio Visual, Security, EVS, Hotel, Food & Beverage, Player Development, Finance and Sales, in preparation of, during, and after a special event or regular entertainment 
    • Contribute and participate in creative meetings and planning sessions for special events and entertainment for Soboba Casino Resort and all of its connected bodies
    • Problem solve and function well in high pressure situations; manage multiple projects at one time
    • Participate in all aspects of the event preparation, setup, breakdown, and overall needs of the department
    • Be an active and positive member of the Marketing Team by assisting in all aspects of the department as needed
    • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested

    • Serve as a contributing Team Member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians enhancing the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors
    • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record 

    Supervisory Duties/Responsibilities

    • The Entertainment Manager directly supervises the Entertainment Coordinator(s) and is responsible for interviewing, hiring and training entertainment coordinator(s)
    • Organize workflow and ensure entertainment coordinator(s) understand their duties and delegated tasks
    • Evaluate and appraise Team Member performance; address complaints and resolve problems

    Education/Qualifications

    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required
    • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in the entertainment industry in a supervisory role
    • Experience with customer service and conflict resolution
    • Advanced Public Relations skills, preferred
    • Exercise competent computer skills including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
    • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license
    • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing
