Place Showroom is looking for an experienced Showroom Manager to join our East Coast Showroom team!
The Showroom Manager is the primary responder for the showroom and must always maintain a professional, positive, and friendly attitude in all their interactions. The Showroom Manager is responsible for ensuring the showroom operates efficiently on a day-to-day basis. The focus of this role is to work closely with the Sales Managers to ensure all selling tools are readily available to the Sales Team. Further, the Showroom Manager will assist in coordinating the sales team’s road trips and schedules.
The Showroom Manager is responsible for registering all brands for the appropriate trade shows and plays an active role in preparing for these shows. This role must double as an Account Executive when needed and as such, should be well-versed in the brands represented to effectively answer any customer’s questions or concerns. This role reports directly to the Showroom Director and will oversee the New York Showroom team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
•Overseeing the showroom staff team
•Manage the East Coast Showroom internship program
•Keeping the showroom in clean and organized state always
•Ensuring the efficient transfer of samples in and out of the showroom
•Liaise with Building Management regarding market schedules, deadlines, special activities, emergency alarm testing, etc.
•Overseeing sample sales in the showroom
•Prepare trade show budgets and post show recaps for Executive team
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years supervisory experience in retail/wholesale sales
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong project management skills
Ability to work independently
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Must be able to maintain standing position up to 60% of the workday
Must possess the ability to kneel, bend, stoop and reach regularly
Must be able to regularly lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
