Job Summary:
The ideal candidate is a master of transformation, skilled in the art of altering wedding dresses to fit our clients' visions perfectly. In this role, you will focus on custom alterations, ensuring each dress fits flawlessly and enhances the bride's beauty. Your expertise in adjustments, modifications, and fabric manipulation will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the design while tailoring it to the bride's specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed consultations with brides to understand their alteration needs, from resizing to restyling gowns according to their preferences.
• Perform precise alterations, including but not limited to resizing, hemming, adding bustles, adjusting bodices, and modifying necklines and sleeves, ensuring each dress fits perfectly.
• Apply advanced techniques for working with delicate fabrics such as lace, silk, and tulle, ensuring the highest quality of work without compromising the fabric's integrity.
• Work closely with clients during fittings, making real-time adjustments and providing expert advice on achieving the best fit.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure alterations align with the original design vision while meeting the client's expectations.
• Manage alteration timelines efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet wedding dates and fitting schedules.
• Maintain a detailed log of alterations and adjustments for each project, ensuring clear communication and consistency throughout the alteration process.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in bridal gown alterations, with a minimum of 1 year in a professional tailoring environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in various types of wedding dress alterations.
• Exceptional skill in sewing, pattern-making, and fabric alteration techniques.
• Familiarity with a wide range of bridal gown styles and the ability to work with complex designs and luxury fabrics.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide a comforting and confident presence for brides during fittings.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to achieving perfection in every garment altered.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accommodate client schedules and deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
