Coquette Bake Shop is looking for an experience barista to lead weekend cafe operations!

Coquette Bake Shop is a beloved bakery and cafe in Bainbridge Island, WA. We enjoy serving delectable pastries and delicious coffee to our community. We strive to provide a warm and inviting environment for everyone.

We are currently open Sunday-Tuesday 8am-2pm and Wednesday-Saturday 8am-4pm. No early mornings or late nights. We offer flexibility in scheduling and are willing to work with you. Come be a part of our fun and dynamic team!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction
• Receive and process payments accurately (cash and credit cards)
• Keep work area clean
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the shift
• Ensure weekend staff is complying with policies and procedures
• Communicate any changes from back of house to front of house weekend staff
• Communicate customer feedback to managers
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Maintain and communicate stock needed to managers

Qualifications:

• Two plus years in a specialty coffee setting
• Strong math skills, including retail math and basic math calculations
• Experience in cash handling and operating a cash register
• Knowledge of food handling and food industry regulations
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
