Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes.     Shipping documents:
    •Prepare shipping documents, proof of delivery, bill of lading.
    •Prepare sheets / labels for pick-ups by parcel carriers.
    •Coordinate shipments with factory and office staff.
    ERP system:
    •Use the ERP system to track and close shipped orders.
    •Ensure all documents are created, correct and printed for all shipments.
    •Monitor expected date of shipment to ensure that shipments on time delivery.
    International Shipping:
    •Prepare export documents such as bill of lading, certificate of origin, customs broker information.
    •Ensure good communication and required follow-ups in shipments.
    Carriers:
    •Plan the requirements and schedules of carriers.
    •Resource person for the planning and coordination of transport.
    •Coordinate inter-company shipments.
    Clerical:
    •File proof of delivery and all other documents related to the customer deliveries.
    •Answer phone calls related to shipping and transportation.
    •Other tasks as per required.
