Shipping and Receiving Supervisor jobs in Utah
Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. Shipping and Receiving Worker Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
Unpack shipment deliveries
Prepare shipping documents
Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
Consolidate shipping orders
Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt
of products
Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables
Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments
Shipping and Receiving Worker Shift Info
Day Shift, 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
Monday - Friday
Shipping and Receiving Worker Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
Shipping and Receiving Worker experience preferred
Able to work in the US
Familiarity with computers & business equipment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of time organization and urgency
Able to work independently and within a team
Dependable and hardworking
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US.
