Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. - Maintain general cleanliness of warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as trucks and forklifts.
- Prepare material for shipping.
- Receive returned unserviceable parts to warehouse.
- Perform physical inventory and cycle counts.
- Enter all entries into our Inventory Management system.
Education and Technical Requirements- High School diploma/GED required.
- 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
- 1 year of inventory management.
- Must have clean driving record and possess valid driver license.
- Must be able to pass a 10-year background check.
- Must be computer literate with Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe.
- Travel 5%
