SHIPPING & RECEIVING SUPERVISOR

JIMS Machining is an established company located in Camarillo California that has been manufacturing for over 50 years. We are a leader in the V-Twin aftermarket industry; producing high performance parts, tools, transmissions, and engines distributed across the World. We are looking to add to our already talented team to place a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor within our organization.

Experience:

· 3-5 years of Shipping and Receiving experience

· 2 years of Supervisor experience

SHIPPING & RECEIVING SUPERVISING:

• Regular and timely attendance.
• Responsible for the day-to-day, month-to-month, and year-to-year overseeing of the Shipping and Receiving Department, which includes:

1. Attending daily production meetings to determine requirements related to sales, shipping, production, receiving, inventory, etc.

2. Review sales orders, picking sheets, Supplier Direct Orders, etc. to determine daily, monthly, etc. shipping requirements.

3. Plan work in such a manner as to meet the various customer product order requirements and delivery dates, which include:

a. Assembly of a variety of tools and components.

b. Selecting, packaging, and boxing products for shipping.

c. Preparing labels, tags, shipping documents, etc. for product identification, shipping, tracking, etc., purposes.

d. Scheduling shipment of products with vendors such as UPS, FedEx, Trucking etc.

• Responsible for processes, supplies, materials, methods, etc. related to the shipment of products, which includes recycling, cycle counts, continuous improvement, etc.
• Responsible for overseeing all incoming material, products, parts, supplies, etc, which includes:

1. Officially accept items on behalf of JIMS, which include:

a. Visually inspect received goods for damage and act accordingly.

b. Verify quantities.

c. Record goods received as required by automated systems.

d. Take appropriate action regarding any receiving-related discrepancies.

• Ensure received goods are properly distributed, which could include placement in inventory, distribution to other departments, storage, etc.
• Complete and forward receiving documentation to other departments as required.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate automated company-wide inventory of JIMS products, parts, components, sub-assemblies, etc., and purchased goods sold as products or used as components in products.
• Responsible for all laser part marking operations, which include planning and scheduling work, obtaining required quality inspections, machine maintenance, etc.
• Provide the full range of supervisory duties such as short and long-term performance direction, annual evaluations, leave usage, training, workload planning, etc. for the department.
• Maintain continual communication with key managers, regarding Quality matters.
• Maintain communication with Sales and Accounting Departments.
• Cross-train employees.
• Support the Shipping, Receiving, and assembly Team with the workload.
• Responsible for submitting Purchase Orders for packaging.
• Responsible for inventory and organization in warehouse.

Safety, Shop-Upkeep and Other Duties:

• Responsible to support and comply with JIMS Human Resources/Safety Program, which includes:

1. Use of Personal Protective Gear

2. Reporting injuries

3. Wearing proper clothing and shoes

4. Working in a safe manner

• Responsible to support, comply and improve, etc. all aspects of JIMS ISO-9001:2015 based Quality Management System.
• Responsible to keep both immediate and overall department work areas clean and organized.
