Shipping and Receiving Supervisor jobs in New Hampshire

Pressed Cafe is looking for a multitask and detail oriented Shipping and receiving member for our Commissary Kitchen. Who is willing to start as early as 4:00am.

The Receiver is one of the most critical roles in our kitchen. This position will make sure the products and ingredients coming through our doors are accurate in quantity, description, and of the highest quality. This position will also ensure our kitchen’s success through meticulous knowledge and organization of our storage spaces.

Work requirements for the position:

• Intermediate to advanced English reading and communication skills
• Knowledge of weights, measurements, & volume
• Ensure that every item on in invoice is accurate and up to our standards
• Sign off on and take full responsibility for items received
• Refuse items of poor quality and properly document each
• Document any and all missing/incorrect items or discrepancies
• Communicate with management and accounting to ensure all orders and payments are accurate
• Be able to put away orders with proper placement and rotation
• Alert management of any items noticed during stocking that may have been missed in the order
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a confined area with walk in freezers/refrigerators.
• Continuous bending, reaching, twisting and use of hands and arms
• Restock the line with needed items
• Ability & Knowledge to fill another secondary role as a Line Cook or Kitchen Assistant when Receiver duties have been fulfilled or awaiting an order
• Assist with prep and portioning as needed
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
• Ability to switch tasks without notice based on the needs of the business and guests.
• Any other task asks by management

Experience needed for this position:

Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience.

Minimum of 6 months experience with checking in invoices/stocking/rotating Experience with inventory preferred.
