Job Summary

• Review status of jobs scheduled to ship and communicate with customers and internal contacts as needed; responsible for daily functioning of shipping/receiving department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations with respect to goals for safety, delivery, quality, inventory and costs.
• Define clear goals, expectations and roles to direct reports providing feedback on performance and developmental planning.
• Support development of risk mitigation initiatives.
• Responsible for the accuracy of the physical inventory located onsite. Process is not limited to the cycle count and material handling but also includes completing row audits and investigating variances.
• Define and implement new strategies to evaluate the efficiency of existing shipping/receiving operational methods, processes, and procedures, inventory issues on a regular and as-needed basis.
• Responsible for warehousing activities and associates including the receipt of materials, supplies, freight; and the shipment of WIP to outside processes, finished products, according to company policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with local and federal regulations for domestic and international shipments.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit processes that are not limited to employee's time and attendance, quality, finance, among others.
• Partner with Scheduling, Customer Service and Production for material handling and proper allocation of resources based on volume, demand and / or business needs recommends improvements when necessary and updates management on all.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have 5 years shipping/receiving experience
• Must have 3 years management experience
• Must have knowledge of international shipping regulations
• Must understand scheduling
• Needs basic computer skills
