JOB SUMMARY

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Delivery Driver will be responsible for shipping/receiving products for the Base Supply Center at the location listed above in compliance with the AbilityOne Program, Federal and Military Guidelines. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Shipping & Receiving duties:

• Counts incoming products and receives them into the ERP System.
• Maintains all Purchase Order Documents, Bills of Lading, Packing Slips, etc.
• Assists in receiving, inspecting, labeling, and preparing merchandise for warehousing and shipping
• Follows safety rules and regulations and rules for moving vehicles and properly loading and unloading cargo
• Prepares and maintains accurate documents while transporting materials, supplies and equipment to customers
• Performs cycle counts
• Stocks merchandise as required on the salesfloor and in the warehouse

Delivery Driver duties:

• Follows safety rules and regulations and rules for moving vehicles and properly loading and unloading cargo

• Performs light marketing of our BSC capabilities and products while making customer contact during deliveries

Other duties:

• Other duties may be assigned by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• H.S. Diploma/GED required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Operate pallet jack on an as needed basis
• Forklift certification preferred at some locations
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Recognize and understand product numbers and alpha/numeric codes
• Understand basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures.
• Able to work independently with some direction
• Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Able to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
• Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities and procedures
• Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to multitask
• Problem Solving and analytical ability
• Basic computer/keyboard skills
• Clean Driving Record
• Pass Drug Screening and Background Check (including based required checks)
• Pass DOT driving requirements, including a physical (for stores requiring DOT licenses)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

• Stand/walk for 8 hours continuously minus allotted breaks
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Operate relevant material handling equipment in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
• Operate Delivery Truck or Van
• Operate Lift Gate on an as needed basis
