Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. - Receive and process incoming packages for shipments
- Pick, pack, and prepare packages for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred
- Familiarity with order processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments
- Basic computer skills, including experience with word and excel
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
